We are pleased to announce the release of Maintenance Mode Manager (MMM) version 1.4.0 for Dynatrace.
This release introduces several enhancements focused on making maintenance windows safer, more transparent, and easier to manage.
Check open problems before ending maintenance
The most significant addition in this release is the ability to review open problems before closing a maintenance window.
In real-world operations, maintenance is sometimes ended while problems are still active within the affected scope. This may indicate that a change has not been fully completed or that issues remain unresolved.
MMM can now automatically check for open problems before maintenance is stopped. The query uses exactly the same scope and filters that were used when the maintenance window was started, providing operators with an additional safeguard before returning systems to normal monitoring.
Improved tenant identification
Version 1.4.0 introduces SignalText, a configurable text badge displayed in the application footer.
This badge can be used to clearly identify environments such as Production, Acceptance, Development, or customer-specific tenants. Besides improving usability, it also provides an additional visual distinction for users who may have difficulty relying solely on color indicators.
Additional improvements
This release also includes several usability and quality enhancements:
- Full support for OneAgent-level
[Environment]tags - Filtering and sorting on the maintenance status column in the Hosts overview
- Refreshing maintenance rules without leaving the Rules page
- Additional predefined maintenance durations
Continuous improvement
Maintenance Mode Manager continues to evolve based on practical experience and feedback from Dynatrace users managing complex maintenance activities.
Version 1.4.0 delivers another step forward in reducing operational risk and improving the overall maintenance workflow within Dynatrace environments.
We look forward to sharing more enhancements in future releases.
